SOME PEOPLE AWAKEN WITH TIME, DON’T BE IN A HURRY
Almost everywhere you look nowadays you are almost always set to find the people who constantly preach enlightenment. They are almost always right up into your face saying how you need to become this spiritual guru, walking around with candles, tattoos up your sleeve screaming Buddhism and counterculture 50 miles away.
While spiritual awakening can be a good thing because it can make you aware of deeper problems within you and within the world you inhabit, it can become just another crutch for people to avoid bigger, deeper issues that inhabit their lives.
With this blog post, we intend to show you that you make enlightenment a goal of your life, but rather, you can just let time carry you into it. This way, you are maturing and becoming aware of your deeper intentions as to why you want to become spiritually enlightened.
This is important because if you are not aware of your deeper intentions, you risk becoming a victim to your own ego. What that means is that you will be essentially using spirituality like a dress, just for show, with no deeper meaning behind it.
That is not to say that there are no people in the world who seek spirituality and become great spiritual guides after their journey. But compared to them, there is a way greater majority of spiritual charlatans who use what they can to draw people into their circles and suck all the money out of them.
This is the fact that we are seeking to address today. It is an important fact because it is specifically responsible for making sure that what you are getting out of life is more than just a job or other things that are not aligning with who you are.
Step 1: don’t chase enlightenment
Through the very first principles of yoga we can understand that chasing enlightenment is completely antithetical to the true principles of how it should be. This is because in yoga you often learn not to chase anything, simply let go is what you hear the most often during the yoga session. How is it important? This is important because if you just let go and not worry about the process, it will become a lot easier to get to it with time
2. Adopt a useful practice
While we preach not to chase enlightenment, there is a difference between chasing enlightenment and not chasing anything at all. While we say that you need to take it easy it is still important to make sure that what you are getting out of it satisfies you and satisfies whatever it is that you are looking after.
For that reason, a practice is mandatory. What do we mean by practice? By practice we mean a structured routine, it does not have to be big but it should not be small either. One can be successful by adopting a 30 minute yoga routine that we are going to post sometime later this week.
3. Focus on other stuff
Every one of us has much to do in our personal lives to develop ourselves to a larger extent. For instance, we need relationships, jobs, we need to be healthy. Thus, making enlightenment secondary is of a larger preference here. One needs not to make enlightenment a goal but usually a byproduct of a meaningful daily routine.
This is the real path. All other path lead only to unnecessary stress for if you find that you are not attaining enlightenment then it would mean that you are not getting where you are supposed to be going. This can be stressful if you realize that you are putting way too much time and effort into something that is not working out no matter how hard you try. But at some point, even if you do that, you will understand that you are doing it wrong. Like we said previously, this is not much to be done there except to just let the experience happen naturally, without forcing it.
4. Enjoy the path
There is no use to trying or seeking enlightenment unless you are enjoying the path. There are people who seek enlightenment out of a personal issue, meaning that they think that it is something to receive like a purchase or another acquisition of material things. That is not it and those people will rarely awaken as a result of this unnecessary search for something they will never find. To those few who are willing to put in work and see for themselves how much they are truly capable of, to those few I wish best of luck and see us on the next blog post.
